BENEFICIARIES: 3200 A group in Germany is helping sponsor this school in the name of Saint Elisabeth. This holy wife is the patron of our country and is active in the social life for poor children. 2007 is Saint Elisabeth's 800 birthday. The School is located in the District town of Alamata town. It is the only CatholicChurchSchool in the zone till recent years there was no Kindergarten School in Alamata. Later on private investors started well-equipped Kindergarten Schools. Poor parents who cannot afford to pay School fee in the private Schools send their Children to the Church School. At present the ChurchSchool cannot compete with the Privates Schools. Everywhere, where there is CatholicSchool, parents prefer to send their children to CatholicSchool event if there is government school in the near by area. The reason for this is that parents find children who go to CatholicSchool morally cultivated and with appropriate behavior. Kidane-Mihret Kindergarten School will be a model School in the future if reconstructed and equipped with the necessary materials as to bring it up to the standard required, provided it there is a new fund from Donors.
