SCHOOL NAME: Maiberazio Non-Formal Program (NFP) DISTRICT: SaesietsaedaEmba YEAR OF ESTABLISHMENT: 1968 G.C. BENEFICIARIES: 2500 NFP is a program for out of School children and adults. Children learn and at the same time help their parents in harvesting, farming and looking after sheep, Cattle, etc. Adults are taught how to read and write in order to reduce illiteracy rate. Besides Awareness on HIV/AIDS is given in order to reduce death rate. Maiberazio: is located in SaesieTsaedaEMba District. The nearest church School is Mariin Tsion, which is 2 hrs walk from Maiberazio. The NFP is setup because little children couldn't walk 2 hrs in the mountains in order to reach the near by school. When they finish grade two, they go and learn in Marima Tsion Primary School. The community requests to upgrade the NFP in to Formal education (1-4) but this couldn't be fulfilled due to budget constraints.
